Why Stretch In The First Place?

First of all the body is supposed to be flexible. You never know when you are going to need to stoop down for whatever reason. The truth is stretching really isn't that hard. It simply  involves extending your body to its full length through regulated activities.

Unfortunately as the body ages the muscles tighten up, thus impeding flexibility. So it is important to get your dose of stretches before partaking in any physical activity. This is only takes about 5-10 minutes to do, and the benefits well out way the costs. In a nutshell stretching :
Increases Ability to Perform Skills
After your joints and bones have engaged in movement you will be able to participate in a wide variety of activities.

 Increases the Range of Movement
When you stretch constantly your muscles and tendon also increase in length. This consequently increases your range of movement and also keeps you physically fit.

 Injury Prevention
Injuries to joints, muscles, and tendons can be prevented by stretching regularly. When the muscles and tendons are well-flexed, the entire body is happy. This will help in a faster recovery and decreased soreness. The muscles of the body will be able to partake in exhausting and rigorous movements with less probability of sustaining injury.

Reduction In Muscle Tension
If the muscles are given their regular exercises and stretching, it is less likely that they will contract. This will definitely relieve you of any muscle pain or problems.

 Enhancing  Energy
Mobility will increase energy. Stretching will also help enhance your awareness, like knowing that you have a body that is capable of engaging in physical activities. With that in mind, you are going to be more driven to move rather drive your muscle to atrophy.

 Cuts Down Cholesterol
Scientists have discovered that stretching activities like yoga help inhibit the growth of cholesterol. Stretching also helps in regulating the diameters of arteries, veins, capillaries which in turn helps prevent heart coronary disease.
